ROME – Gianluca Mancini’s late header saved Roma from a home defeat on Sunday as the Giallorossi held Inter Milan in a 2-2 thriller.

Roma was on a winning streak before Sunday’s game, while Inter saw its winning streak came to an end in midweek.

The home side took the lead in the 16th minute as Lorenzo Pellegrini’s attempt from the edge of the box took a slight deflection off Alessandro Bastoni to go beyond a helpless Samir Handanovic.

After the break, Inter turned around the game in a span of seven minutes, as Milan Skriniar scored a powering header before Achraf Hakimi curled into the net.

Roma poured forward in the dying minutes and it paid off in the 86th minute as Gonzalo Villar crossed from the right, Mancini looped his header into the far corner.

Inter now ranks second with 37 points, three points behind AC Milan, but also three ahead of third-placed Roma.

Juventus continued its winning streak after a 3-1 home win over 10-man Sassuolo despite Weston Mckennie and Paulo Dybala’s injuries.

Juve lost Mckennie to injury in the 19th minute and Dybala also limped off in the 42nd minute and Sassuolo went down to 10 men as Pedro Obiang saw a straight red card.

The Bianconeri went ahead right after the break with a stunner from Danilo.

Gregoire Defrel helped the away side get back on level terms in the 58th minute before Juve’s Aaron Ramsey tapped in to restore the lead.

Cristiano Ronaldo sealed the win deep into stoppage time as the talisman burst into the box and fired home from a tight angle.

The defending champion sits fourth with a game to spare.

Elsewhere, a pair of strikers from Luis Alberto and Felipe Caicedo helped Lazio beat Parma 2-0, while Tiemoue Bakayoko’s late winner saw Napoli edge past Udinese 2-1.
