BEIJING – Chinese stocks closed lower on Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.17 percent, at 3,570.11 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index closed 0.24 percent lower at 15,319.29 points.

The ChiNext Index, tracking China’s NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, lost 0.37 percent to close at 3,150.78 points Friday.
