Recently, the UK blatantly declared a move to interfere in China’s Hong Kong affairs by granting British National (Overseas) , known as BNO – passport holders UK citizenship.

In a statement addressing the so-called “bespoke” BNO policy for Hong Kong, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said, “We have honored our profound ties of history and friendship with the people of Hong Kong”.

But the world knows very well how the UK established ties with Hong Kong through the Opium War just to sell opium.

After taking Hong Kong as a colony, the country treated Hong Kong residents as second-class citizens.

This is how it felt to be regarded as a second-class citizen.
