The 11th Beijing International Film Festival, which will be held from Aug 14 to 21 this year, is now open to submissions from around the world.
Applicants can submit films for the “Tiantan Award”, “Beijing Film Panorama” and “Forward Future” sections online from now until May 20.
The Tiantan Award will award excellence in feature filmmaking, including Best Feature Film, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Music and Best Visual Effects. Features released after Jan 1, 2020, that are no less than 70 minutes may apply.
Entries in the Beijing Film Panorama will be screened in theaters and film academic institutions in Beijing during the festival. Forward Future aims to discover new faces in filmmaking, pick up trends in the development of the global film industry, encourage innovation in filmmaking and showcase cultural diversity in film art.
