A YBA figure, a late leader of realism and a show of home-grown urban art, these are some of the highlights to be unveiled at the annual Art Beijing, of which the 16th edition will run at the National Agricultural Exhibition Center from April 30 to May 3.

For years, the major art fair has enriched the Labor Day holiday of people in the capital city, constantly refreshing their understanding of art rather than an event exclusive to artists, critics and collectors.

This year some 150 institutions will participate in five sections, encompassing modern and contemporary art, classic art, images, design and public art.
